Xiao Tingliang, a renowned Chinese artist and calligrapher, was born in Liaoyang, Liaoning in 1949. His main achievements include: his works have been highly praised by Mr. Chen Lifu of Taiwan, who has written several inscriptions: "1. Wisdom and benevolence are kept, then they are obtained and forever preserved; 2. The Tao is not far from man; 3. Xiao Tingliang's calligraphy and painting exhibition." He is a friend across generations. His works have been collected by the Taiwan Straits Exchange Foundation and its chairman, Mr. Koo Chen-fu, as well as by overseas friends. His works have won awards in competitions in South Korea and Japan, and have been included in influential art books and other important publications both domestically and internationally. 1.
