On January 13, the Press Conference on "Achievements of Guangdong's 14th Five-Year Plan – Yangjiang Session" was held in Guangzhou, highlighting the overall progress and key achievements of Yangjiang's economic and social development during China's 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Yangjiang has been striving to build itself into a "Green Energy Capital" centered on offshore wind. It has vigorously promoted the production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol from offshore wind energy, with the city's total planned power generation capacity exceeding 40 gigawatts.
In the field of offshore wind power, Yangjiang has secured approval for a total planned installed capacity of 20 gigawatts—7 gigawatts already grid-connected and 6 gigawatts under construction—placing its grid-connected installed capacity among the top in the country.
