上周，比利时驻北京大使馆送别了一位非常特别且备受尊敬的同事。大使馆服务的时间最长的员工，司机吴秀民先生在奉献服务三十年之后，即将开启他应得的退休生活。
Last week the Embassy of Belgium in Beijing bade farewell to a very special and valued colleague. Our longest-serving colleague at the embassy Driver Mr. Wu Xiumin begins his well-deserved retirement after three decades of dedicated service.
吴师傅于1997年加入比利时驻北京大使馆，开始时担任摩托车信使，负责运送重要文件和包裹。十年后，他接过了使馆车辆的方向盘，在北京日益繁忙的交通环境中穿梭，安全地将历任大使和各位贵宾送往全市各地。
Driver Wu joined the Embassy of Belgium in Beijing in 1997. He started his career on the embassy’s motorcycle, delivering important documents and parcels. After ten years, he took over the steering wheel of the cars at our embassy, navigating the increasingly busy Beijing traffic to bring our ambassadors and distinguished guests to places all over the city.
在职业生涯中，吴师傅先后服务过七任比利时驻华大使，始终展现出高度的专业精神、可靠性和敬业态度。无论面对北京街头偶尔出现的复杂交通状况，他总能保持冷静，确保每一位乘客安全、准时地抵达目的地。凭借丰富的经验、对城市的深入了解以及追求卓越的工作态度，他成为使馆团队中不可或缺的一员。
During his career, driver Wu served seven Belgian Ambassadors, always showing professionalism, reliability, and dedication. Always keeping his calm on the sometimes chaotic Beijing streets, he made sure his passengers always arrived safely and on time. His extensive experience, knowledge of the city, and commitment to excellence made him an indispensable member of the embassy team!
今年4月，比利时外交大臣马克西姆·普雷沃（Maxime Prévot）亲自向吴先生颁授比利时皇冠勋章，以表彰他作出的杰出贡献。
In April of this year, Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot personally presented Mr. Wu with the Gold Medal of the Order of the Crown in recognition of his exceptional service.
在吴师傅开启人生新篇章之际，我们谨向他多年来为比利时驻北京大使馆所作出的贡献致以最诚挚的感谢。他的敬业精神、专业素养和责任担当，为我们的使团留下了深刻印记，也深深影响了所有有幸与他共事的同事。
As Driver Wu embarks on a new chapter, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for his contributions to the Belgian Embassy in Beijing.
