这个词的选择“外伤性撕裂”让我觉得他们确信脾脏损伤是由外伤引起的。

信息很少，所以我在推测，但如果这是一个艰难的臀位分娩，例如，婴儿很难出来，需要多种操作手段，而且他们在脾脏上发现了撕裂伤——那就会有理由宣布死因是“脾脏外伤性撕裂”，并说明麻疹不是促成因素。

所以分娩事件确实很重要。

I have been delivering babies for 31 years & have had my share of difficult deliveries. What happened during the delivery matters and I would expect the coroner and pathologist were aware of the clinical history.

This word choice "traumatic laceration" suggests to me that they are confident the splenic injury was caused by trauma.

There is little information so I am speculating, but if this was a difficult breech delivery, for example, & it was very hard to get the baby out, and multiple maneuvers were needed, & they found a laceration on the spleen - that would be reason to declare the cause of death "traumatic laceration of the spleen" and also to state that measles was not a contributing factor.

So the delivery events do matter.

But whatever the delivery events, Gov. Shapiro & the media misled the public & did a grave disservice to the mother. 网页链接
