And frankly, I am rather disgusted by so many "conservative" influencers coming out in support of them.Huxley’s Brave New World imagined a society in which technological control became so normalized that people ceased to recognize it as control at all. Brave New Flock has an added irony: some of the loudest defenders of a privately operated, nationwide surveillance infrastructure now call themselves conservatives. There is nothing conservative about teaching Americans to accept ubiquitous cameras, centralized databases, automated tracking, and the routine recording of innocent people’s movements simply because the technology is sold under the banner of fighting crime. A conservative instinct once began with suspicion of concentrated power, especially the power to watch citizens who had done nothing wrong. Apparently, for a new of “conservative” influencer, that principle is negotiable.
